Group Mentor
Group mentoring includes working with a team of six to eight volunteer mentors, matched with 25 students who meet twice a month for after-school meetings. These sessions are organized by two All Our Kids staff members and include age appropriate, research-based curriculum on subject areas such as career exploration, college access, drug and alcohol prevention, cultural and recreational events, service-learning projects, time management and academic goal setting.
Commitment:
- Minimum one year commitment (preferably longer).
- Spend 4-6 hours each month with the students in structured activities, after-school, twice a month.
- Attend a minimum of four ongoing mentor training sessions or All Our Kids fundraising activities.
- Complete required documentation.
- Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
